Global Illumination and Rendering

1. Raytracing
Download the folder "lightingstudy" folder from "Arch341-6410-Mark-F11/examples/classes".
Open the file testWineGlass.dgn
Zoom up on table and goblets.
Use the render view icon (upper left-hand corner of visualization task).
Turn on level for carafe
Select option for raytrace and render
2. Global Illumination
Go to interior extreme render option and render and note light at base of center vase.
Turn on cautics, re-render and note pools of light concentratred under base of center vase.
Open RPC dialog box and select folder on "T" drive with RPC files located inside the folder "lightingstudy" downloaded earleri.
Turn on Layer for VW
Go back and adjust lighting shadows for soft shadow on all the lights and render
Turn on chairs and floor (circle)
Zoom out and render in raytrace
Zoom out and render in interior best
Turn on disco sphere
Render in raytrace from different positions (see color change)
Do interior best from different positions (color constant)
Do analytical open at bottom of render view window to see rendering in red, green and blue depicting high to low lighting energy.
3. Animation (will be repeated)
Select animation task
Turn on car path level
Open up animation producer dialog box (first icon in the task palette).
Note object on left-hand side of dialog box.
Select the sun light and then go to the time of day property. Right-click on the time of day property and set the start time to 8 am at frame 0.
Do solar animation (turn off all other lights)
Render 20 frames
4. Generative Components - Parametric Modeling (will be repeated)
GC parametric point on bspline
GC parmetric points on parallel bspline
GC loft surface from lacing points.
