How Will Climate Change Affect Crop Productivity?

If global warming continues unchecked, most countries between the Tropics will experience lower crop yields in the year 2080. Other countries
farther from the Equator and/or with certain topography and fresh water sources could benefit from a warmer world. Long-range forecasts
offer little consensus; the following is a synthesis of available crop forecasts.

Note: These figures assume that crops grow faster because of higher levels of carbon dioxide in the air. Some scientists contend that the actual impacts
of climate change could be more extreme than above, due to lack proper rainfall, fertile soil, and clean air.
