Bush signs the Born-Alive Infants Protection Act, extending legal protection to an infant born alive after a failed attempt at induced abortion. November 5, 2003: President George W. Bush signs the Partial-Birth Abortion Act, prohibiting a form of late terimination pregnancy. Gonzalez v. Carhart (April 18, 2007): U.S. Supreme Court upholds a federal law known as the Partial Birth Abortion Act, which prohibits a specific type of abortion procedure. July 8, 2008: Planned Parenthood endorsed Presidential Candidate Barack Obama; U.S. Government Contributions increased from $363.2 million to $487.4 million.
