Movement in India by religion:

How the past has shaped the present

By: Mia Ruggiano '19

Over the last 80 years, there's been massive movement across India due to various historical events. 1941, pre-Partition, marks the initial year in which I looked at the distribution of religious populations across British India. From there, we see changes marked along the way by the years listed in the box: 1971, 1991, and finally ending with 2001, which we're using to mark "present-day." We also see the difference across ranges of years, generally increasing across the board. Lastly, the box at the very bottom displays the percentage of the certain religion to their total poplation, showing the relationship of the two religions with their overall state.
