Animal Farmer Screenshots
This chart shows whether you have selected a conventional or sustainable method of farming. Looking at the Current Yield for each, you will see that sustainable farming yields less meat per animal (and thus makes less money). The amount of nutrients released, Nitrogen and Phosphorus, can also be compared between the two farming methods. The reduction in these nutrients can also be compared for the three waste management options ( Basic Waste Treatment, add Covered Storage, and add Nutrient Storage) To raise your Environmental score, decrease the Totals values of N and P as much as possible.
This chart expands upon the first, showing the amount of money you will make based on the Market Price and your expected yield. You will lose money due to Operating Expenses and the income tax. This chart also displays the current taxes and incentives, set by your regulator, which will decrease or increase your Total Revenue respectively. These values are shown for the two types of farming, as well as the three nutrient management sytems.
This chart summarizes information pertaining to the economic aspect of animal farming. At the top, the Income Statement summarizes your total net income by adding up your profits and subtracting your taxes and expenses. Your Assets describe the money you have available for spending, your Cash, and the money you have tied up in Land, Animals, and Equipment. The Liabilities and Equities portion may become relevent if you chose to add nutrient removal, as it is a costly expenditure. The Player Information section summarizes the prices and yield of your cattle. The current taxes and incentives set by your regulator are also listed. Use this part of the chart to quickly see if these values have changed since the last round. Finally, the Player Decisions section will display the deicisions you have made each year, as well as the total pounds of Nitrogen and Phosphorus. It is important to observe how your deicisons have affected this second set of numbers, so that you may continue to make decisions that improve the Bay's health!
This final chart includes the Life Goals and Scores. Return to the Hints page to read more about how these numbers are determined. Beneath them are the Productivity Metrics which allow you to see how you are doing compared to the other animal farmers who are playing. Is your nutrient runoff more or less than theirs? If your numbers are significantly higher, you are more responsible for the decline in Bay health! |
